For the first time, Lewis University recently inducted 100 students in the new Lambda Epsilon Delta Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society. None of the inducted students have a grade point average lower than a 3.86. The chapter was established in January at Lewis University. "We're very pleased this nationally recognized prestigious credential will now be available to its high-achieving non-traditional students as validation of their hard work and academic accomplishments," commented Dr. Walt Pearson, dean of the School for Professional and Continuing Education.
Cyclone Aides are undergraduate student leaders who facilitate Orientation and Destination Iowa State throughout the year. They serve as orientation leaders by providing new students with an introduction to campus and its resources, provide campus and residence hall tours, prepare students for academic advising appointments, serve on information panels, and share information about Iowa State with new students and their family members.This diverse group of students was selected from a top group of applicants within the College of Human Sciences, and from hundreds of applicants university-wide.
